National Basketball Association & MLB **Top Plays** (Monday, May 28, 2007)

National Basketball Association & MLB **Top Plays** (Monday, May 28, 2007): "National Basketball Association & MLB **Top Plays** (Monday, May 28, 2007)

**Top Play #1**

San Antonio Spurs (pk) (-115) over Utah Jazz*

*This line is currently available at matchbook. The Spurs qualify as a Best Bet at +1 or more, a Top Play at -1.5 or more and a Strong Opinion at -2 or less.

Despite winning game 3 in blowout fashion, the Jazz remain a money-burning 14-28 ATS following a double-digit win at home, 14-23 ATS following a home win and and 23-36 ATS after being installed as a favorite. Conversely, the Spurs apply to one of my best bounce-back systems which is 71% ATS since 1997 and, further, Tim Duncan & Co. apply to a game 4 situation which is 91% ATS since 2000. It should also be noted that San Antonio is 27-14-1 ATS following a playoff loss with Duncan in the lineup.

The Spurs were a profitable 31-16 SU on the road this season and have gone 9-4 ATS in the playoffs, including covering 3 of their last 4 games.

The stomach flu has also infiltrated the Utah lockerroom as point guard Deron Williams missed practice on Sunday because of the illness. '"

**Top Play #2**

San Antonio Spurs/Utah Jazz UNDER 191 points (-110)**This line is currently available at cris. I would be patient before investing as this line should increase due to the heavy public action on the 'over'.The 'under' has cashed 80% of the time when Utah is installed as a home underdog in the playoffs, while the 'under' is a profitable 4-1 with Utah at home playing a team with a winning record. Similarly, the 'under' is a perfect 5-0 when San Antonio is a road favorite, 5-1 after the Spurs fail to cover the spread and 19-7 following a loss.Rating: 2.75*On a much more serious note, god bless our men and women in uniform and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Los Angeles Dodgers (-110) over Milwaukee Brewers*

*Action

Since 2002, the Brewers are a woeful 9-25 in May road games, including 19-41 when the money line is +125 to -125. Moreover, the Brewers have lost 7 of their last 10 games to the Mets, Phillies and Twins, respectively. Tonight, the Brew Crew hand the ball to Jeff Suppan who has struggled over his last three starts wherein he has a 4.82 ERA and 1.500 WHIP. Over his last 13 innings of work, Suppan has yielded an alarming 10 runs (8 earned) and 13 hits.

Houston Rockets (ML) (-238) over Utah Jazz*

*Please be advised that this is a money line investment.

The Rockets return home for game 7 and their fans will be ready to bring the thunder on their home floor. Initially, Houston applies to my best playoff angle which dictates investing on certain home favorites after failing to cover the spread in three or more consecutive games. Now, if our 'play on' team is facing an opponent with a win percentage of at least .534, this system is a perfect 16-0 SU since 1997.

Moreover, Houston is an incredible 16-3 following a home loss, 9-3 after losing 3 of their last 4 games, 9-2 after a double-digit road loss and 29-11 after a road tilt. The Rockets are also 20-7 after failing to cover the spread in 4 or more consecutive games which fits nicely into the system mentioned hereinabove. By the way, the Jazz are a money-burning 2-10 on the road with a total of 180-189.5 and 26-30 following a double-digit win.
-------------------------
Play On - Home teams vs. the money line (Houston) - after having lost 2 of their last 3 games, in a game involving two good teams (60% to 75%).
(73-27 over the last 5 seasons; 73%)

This system is 35-14 since 2003."
